Central & Local Government practice helps drive record revenues at Bevan Brittan
Law firm Bevan Brittan saw turnover rise 13% to £76m in 2023/24, driven in part by strong performance in its Central & Local Government practice which saw revenues increase by 24%.
The firm also saw particularly strong performances in Higher Education (up by 37%) and Independent Health & Care (32%).
Profit rose 11.2% to £18.9m.
Bevan Brittan made 32 senior lateral hires, including eight partners and four legal directors, during the financial year.
The firm highlighted a number of key instructions during the year, including:
- advising Peabody on the South Thamesmead redevelopment, and Platform Housing on two sustainability-linked loans worth a combined £275m
- advising Birmingham City Council on its £490m Waste PPP project
- supporting Bristol’s £95m Temple Quarter regeneration project
- gaining strategic legal partner appointments with Wolverhampton City Council and the West of England Combined Authority.
