Cabinet Office confirms planned ‘go-live’ date of 28 October 2024 for new procurement regime
The Cabinet Office has confirmed that it is working towards a ‘go-live’ date for the new procurement regime of Monday 28 October 2024.
This follows the laying of secondary legislation last month.
The Cabinet Office said the ‘go-live’ date would be formalised in Commencement Regulations which it expects to be made in May.
Today’s announcement marks the beginning of the six-month preparation period.
The Cabinet Office said it remains committed to ensuring all its stakeholders are fully supported and kept informed as they prepare for the new regime,
It added that further support would be provided over the coming months, in particular:
- Continued publication of its suite of Procurement Act 2023 guidance
- Launch of its Communities of Practice and Advanced Course of Deep Dives for procurement practitioners
- A supplier information campaign
- Publication of all e-Learning module content and further learning aids.
It has today published specific guidance for Transitional Arrangements. The Cabinet Office aims to publish the full suite of guidance documents by the end of June 2024.
