Capsticks reappoints Heenan as Senior Partner

Rachael Heenan has been reappointed as Senior Partner at law firm Capsticks for a third four-year term, following an uncontested election.

Her next term will begin on 1 May 2025, following the completion of her first two four-year terms.

She will continue to lead the firm alongside Managing Partner, Martin Hamilton, who in 2022 was re-elected for a third term until May 2026.

During their leadership, the firm has seen annual turnover increase from £35m to £72m.

Heenan said: “I am really grateful to Capsticks for allowing me to continue in the best job in the world. We have achieved a lot over the last nearly eight years and there is still loads more to do. Capsticks really wants to make an impact supporting clients who make a difference in the world and alongside this, helping colleagues at Capsticks progress their careers is the most satisfying part of the job. It feels like we have only just got going and I am excited about what else we might achieve together as we launch a strategy refresh for May 2025.”

Martin Hamilton added: “I’m absolutely delighted that Rachael has been reappointed for a further term to continue to lead Capsticks through to 2029. Rachael’s reappointment is testament both to the confidence the firm places in her leadership, and to the confidence our clients consistently place in her as their go-to adviser. I’m really looking forward to continuing to work with Rachael, with Capsticks’ strategy refresh a priority as we put our plans in place for the next exciting phase for the business.”
